Focus on x40 PTZ
« on: October 16, 2012, 09:58:46 AM »

Bench Testing a X40 PTZ cam before I install on the outside of my house, noticed so far that when fully zoomed out that the focus is not clear, will do some more testing over the next few days, but I was wondering if the lens can be adjusted ? ( this is a certified as new cam from x10 wondering if it is defective )

In order to adjust the focus, you can loosen the two screws that holds the lens (one is on each side of the lens and they should be covered with red locking compound). While viewing the image, adjust the lens so it is focused properly for your application. It slides in out out - it does not rotate. It should be pushed nearly all the way in. Tighten the screws.

Ya I saw those, I have another cam ( Agasio 621) that is very similar to this one  and it says in focus right out of the box.. I would expect the x40 should be the same.
