I also use some off brand name small tablet if i go to my throne to view when someone rings the door bell.

Thank you! I had already discovered the settable pan - that's great; similar to the Sentinel I use for scanning the beach here (http://www.townofdeweybeach.com/Beach-Camera/).

The installation of this Airsight is for our local police department and for a specific area so the programmable scan isn't needed, so I'll have them stay with IE - but IPCamera client is good for me since I monitor more than one camera.

But it still irks me that I can't use my favorite default browser - Chrome - to check on the cameras now and then just because they don't show video. If UTube and UStream work in all browsers that I know about it seems to me the X10 people should not have such a complex system for viewing and controlling.  They do it with Vanguard.
