Remote controlled PS Model XM13A without controller
« on: April 21, 2013, 07:36:11 PM »

Hello, I'm new to X10 and have a question about using the XM13A power supply with the XC18A camera but I don't have a controller to turn on the PS.  Since the plug is a "sterio" (ie 3 conductor) and I know it supplies power to the Camera, transmitter, and ground how can I set it up to be a constant power to the transmitter?  Could I use a sterio to mono conversion plug (which I have) that appears to extend the ground up the tip but I don't know if that would just burn out the PS.  Does anyone have a schematic of this power supply?  Is there a setting of the "unit" and "house" that means always on?

Thanks,
Bob

The power supply defaults to On when AC power is connected. So users with only one camera. Don't need an added remote and transceiver to turn their cameras On.
Unless X10 has changed something. Just apply AC power to the supply and the camera should be On.
