2 dead XX42A outdoor cams
« on: December 07, 2013, 12:09:14 PM »

I bought 2 XX42A wide eye outdoor ip cams shortly before this crap company went bankrupt. Only after a couple of months they are now both dead/unresponsive.
The LED's light up (nightvision) when plugged in, but when I plugin the network cable there is no indication that it's actually plugged in.
I know its not my router/cable/power cables because I've verified them to all be in working/correct order.

Can anyone offer any advice on how to get these cameras working again? or at least, is there anyone else that had this happen to them?
Although I was well within the warranty time perioid, theres no one to go to because the company is gone.

Have you tried holding the reset button located on the bottom of most IP cameras?

I went back and forth with them for about 2 weeks. They are completely useless and refused to help me with my issues and only referring to the fact that "X10" is bankrupt and they only purchased the domain x10.com. They stated they will not offer any assistance with my defective products.
Come to think of it, they never even question any details on what my problem was.

Also, yes I've tried the reset button.
