AHP 3.210 resurrected
« on: April 08, 2014, 08:26:19 AM »

Authinx has found a full installer that doesn't require a server connection for installing.
I'm not sure if this version was ever publicly release as I can't find reference to it.
Maybe a CO can find a link that documents issues and add to this thread
User need to be informed that many issues will arise from this version, here are a few that pop to mind.
Warning:
This version predates the daylight savings time changes
SoftStart modules which are now the standard are not coded for so they will not work correctly.
If you plan to use any third party additional software it will not work correctly as the SDK uses newer dlls and the two aren't compatible.
This has the register popup  and can't currently be registered.
I have installed this in a windows 7 mini PC but it doesn't perform as well as Authinx states with Win 7 so it may only be good for those still running XP

I'll see if I can put something together to convert this similar to that which I've done for the Marmitec version.

Perfect or not..... at least this is proof that X10 is still progressing forward. They're making efforts and haven't forgotten "the users in the field". Thanks for keeping us up Tuicemen... and thank you X10.

Yes, It is good to know X10 continues to push forward in this battle.
Someone skilled at disassembling (reverse engineering) may be able to do something with this.

I've spoken with the owner about issues with this version and they are looking for a newer version (full installer). :)%

I went back and checked the Google Doc I'd put together to track the AHP versions. 3.210 was never released to the public (they went from 3.204 on 7/10/2006 to 3.228 on 5/9/2008).
That gap (of nearly two years) represents a change in the development team. I would guess that 3.210 was done by the original team - and not the newer one (which was gone by 2012).

Thanks for the confirmation about it never being a public release.
That may explain why it wasn't on the same server as the others (which is still inaccessible).

I found this file in the X10 wiki. Looks recent and seems to show many revisions and what was changed.

Thanks Brian that will help any users realize what they're info installing this.

On another note it seems another full installer was discovered. :)%
However it want to connect to several (6) servers which requires some extra work before it can be posted. B:(
I haven't heard what version it was but I assume it was another internal build ::) :'

Has anyone successfully load and run AHP 3.210 resurrected. I'm on windows 7. Was hoping to see a success story before I tried.

I have loaded it successfully on windows 7.
However you should note If you have the newer soft start lamp modules they most likely won't behave correctly.
The fact that it isn't compatible with the newer SDK will persuade many to go the Marmitec route for now.

Where can I download the Active Home Professional.
I have legitimate lic but it is erroring out.

I do not know what version I have?

I also hav an old version with the CM11A interface but with my newer laptop with only USB interface when I use a radio shack 9 pin to usb converter it wants to operate on Port 6 and the older software only can see Com ports 1 to 4.

Thanks in advance for the down load link or a way to get the Radio Shack unit to work on com ports 1 to 4?

The registration process will not currently work with the old servers in the state they are currently in.
You should just cancel or close the registration window AHP will still work.

If you wish to use the cm11a you will need to go the Marmitec route as the link in my original post doesn't have cm11 support added to it.
