Airsight XX60A review
Tuicemen:
The PTZ cameras are a bit more money but worth the bit extra for the Zoom alone.
The fact that these pan reduce the need for extra cameras so they save you money that way.
I had been using EasyN PTZ cameras and received a XX60A As a late Christmas present.
I had attempted to place this in a trouble spot I experience with a EasyN camera but had the same issue there.
I decided to place this next to another Easyn cam mounted in another location.
On first start up I couldn't get this to connect So my attempt at the trouble location may not have been the location.
After several experiments with antenna angles I unplugged the camera and the plugged it back in.
Viola! :)%
these cameras are almost identical to my EasyN cameras except the EasyN camera has a clear dome verses the smoked Airsight one.
This made me expect a darker picture but as you can see in the attached side by side comparisons that's not the case.
I plan to do some experiments over the next week with night vision and over all performance.
As of now I'm impressed with the day time picture. Attached is one from the Airsight interface and another from the EasyN interface.
I wanted to be sure it wasn't just the Airsight software.
The EasyN cam is mounted directly above the Airsight about 3 feet higher.
Tuicemen:
Playing with the zoom on both Cameras I see the EasyN has a broader range.
I'll see if there is an adjustment on the Airsight and compare the mechanics of both as they appear to be very close in design.
Seems I always forget to check these after dark and remember in the morning B:( ::) :'
Once I get that done I'll post some screen shots of that as well.
The EasyN Night view is useless where the camera is located as It seems to get to much reflection from the log home regardless of where it is pointed.
The cedar logs have be left natural and faded white, and it probably doesn't help that the fire preventative I coated them with also has a very slight white tint.
My wife was amazed at the picture quality (color) of the Airsight camera.
Her first word on viewing was, "WOW!"
mike:
thanks for posting those pictures! it is GREAT to compare different brands and resolutions in the real world! they indeed look swell!
Tuicemen:
I hadn't noticed till afterwards that both cameras weren't set to the same zoom level.
In the next series of snapshots I'll be sure to have them set the same for a better reference.
HA Dave:
Those are great pictures. The Airsight looks like a good choice! Is that the outside camera?
