Auto save on download?
« on: August 22, 2017, 12:57:55 PM »

My AHP seems to automatically save the current config file each time a download to the CM15A is performed.    This makes it hard to revert back to the original file if mods are made and are to be discarded.

Is there any way of defeating that (can't see anything in preferences)?

Thanks for any assistance.

Any changes I make to my Macros/AHP.... I save. I save the changes before any uploading.

I had my own naming convention as soon as I started creating macros. My macros are named by the creation date. A macro change today would be named 17aug22. After saving and testing the macro... if I decide to alter or change/modify the macro the new macro will have the same "date name" with a letter determination.... the first change/mod would be "a".... or 17aug22a. Next is 17aug22b, and so on.

At the end of the day... If I am happy with the changes... no other activity is required. Except I always make a copy to my flash drive.

If I decide later the new macro didn't create what I desired.... I go back to the previous (least newest) date of macro (ahx) files.

Prior to adding anything to AHP do as Dave states.
Go to file then save as.
Note: AHP will now be using that file, to revert you have to go to File/Open then select the AHX file you wish to revert to.

Yeah, that's m/l what I have been doing (after I realized that download automatically saves).  Still think auto-save should be optional however.
