Someone take over and revive myhouse @ 10.com?
« on: November 10, 2017, 07:33:58 AM »

So for the last month or so I have begun receiving email messages from the past...  Way back when I actively used myhouse program, I coded stuff to send me emails when remote to me ahp programs set and turned off the alarm...

I am getting them again!  They say they are from myhouse service, email AHPgateway@x10.com

Anyone know what''s up?

it is possible Authinx is working on reviving a server.
I'll see if I can get some info from Authinx

Somewhere.... the servers old HD's are up and running. Servers use a method called striping... using an algorithm that breaks down data/programing/memory to bits separated to 3-6 HDs. That way when one HD fails the algorithm allows the remaining HD's to recreate the failed memory.

All emails carry hidden identifiers that include the IP address of the sender. So keep those emails exactly as they were received in your mailbox for forwarding. That server... or at least the data on the HD's can be located now.

This is a real discovery!

You're NOT Kilroy? Me neither.... but Englewood isn't all that far from me either (north of me). My Web search says... Mike is the manager there...I thought that was YOU.

Where did you find something listing a Mike as the manager?

Just tried something interesting...  Wondering how accurate the 3953'05.3"N 8419'55.6"W,  39.884800, -84.332100 is, I googled it...  Interesting...  Shows a distinct 100?acre farm off sweet potato rd...

https://www.google.com/maps/place/39%C2%B053'05.3%22N+84%C2%B019'55.6%22W/@39.8852974,-84.3323594,280m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d39.8848!4d-84.3321

so to test THAT, I googled MY IP (crappy frontier DSL here)...   One search shows me in Wichita, KS, another down S of Columbus, OH.  So perhaps that IP address is bogus?  I will look up their name anyway to see if anything comes of it...

Oops! Not your old eyes... my old memory. I apparently got that from the search (I performed) of your Kilroy ID. I had also searched this link:

Received: from mail.x10.com (mail.x10.com [54.201.182.149])

And found this:

WOW!  We are really diggin' stuff up!  We WILL get to the bottom of it!

Wonder where the trail will lead next...  Remember Leisure Suit Larry?  He traveled around sleuthing similar stuff didn't he?

BTW, I found x10.com owned not by some Portland dude, but by some guy named Tim.  Sent him this cryptic email:

Hi Tim,

As owner of x10.com, might I ask if you are reviving the servers?

Thanks.

PS:  Dave, sorry if you heard the local news about a crazy guy running for school board in town...  DDN and Ch7 got excited and ran the story about  me...   Lies and half truths if you are wondering...  I felt like Trump being attacked!

Authinx in Flower Mound TX. Bought the X10 brand from the bankrupt X10WTI.
Tim Forehand is the owner of the company.
I found this in a search.
https://www.whois.com/whois/authinx.com

I see that a new name is on the X10.com registration. Thought same company.
