Radio Shack Branded 49-2551A Antenna Boost

After disturbing my secondary console in the bedroom , I could never get the furthest zone to respond as I wasn't sure what the original antenna orientation was. 

I added an old FM wire antenna with a binder clip on the existing antenna and just let it lay loose, no more issues!  I would assume it would work the same to the other models with different branding.
