Performing terminal tasks from inside HG.

For the beginner having to setup and use the terminal can be a bit overwhelming.
Even some novice users dread having to do it.
Things like performing a simple safe shutdown or a reboot of your Pi from inside HG would make things so much simpler.

I started to create some programs which will perform terminal commands like a safe shutdown or reboot from inside HG.
Unlike the update/upgrade program these don't require any scripts to be added to the RPi so I may also redo that program separating the commands to separate command programs.
I'm wondering what other terminal commands could be turned into a HG addon program?
Any ideas what might be useful? ???
Those that have been using a Pi for sometime may have a better Idea of what may be useful.

So I have a few programs now created and working which pass the code to the pi just as if you'd type it into a terminal window.
these include:
  • RPI Reboot (delay of 0-10 mins configurable)
  • RPI Shutdown (delay of 0-10 mins configurable)
  • Date/Time Reset
  • RPI Update
  • Clean up drive space
  • Clear memory cache
I decided against creating a upgrade program as this can get stuck requiring multi inputs from the end user.
I'll add to the list as I think of (or others suggest ;) ) and create possible terminal program scripts
I will make all available in the User created HG Scripts (programs) section of the PiX10Hub
