Yes it started.    It still say version 5.2.1.  It still is not controlling the X10.

I need to see the contents of your service file. It suppose to be stored in /etc/systemd/system but I cannot see it from your screen cap.

For the moment could you reboot the Raspberry Pi and as soon as it starts type the following

sudo systemctl status ha-bridge.service

and post the screen cap

The step by step puts HA bridge in  the ha bridge folder just like the authors instructions you have to cd out of the x10hub folder.you now have two versions installed

What do you need repaired.HA Bridge is running. Why are you asking Mr Tuicemen for help now.

Just press the ctrl and c keys to exit that screem

Tuicemen said there are two versions of HA-Bridge running and it is not the correct version.  I was replying to his comment just above yours?  I was not trying to offend you, I am appreciative of all the assistance.

The version of the bridge that is running is in pi/home/ha-bridge and is 5.2x the version required 5.3 is installed in pi/home/x10hub/ha-bridge. There are a few ways to fix this but I'll  let petera walk you threw which he thinks is the easiest.
