Upgraded and my names are gone
« on: January 24, 2019, 06:38:03 PM »

I upgraded the Home Genie software and all my modules names went away.

Did I do something wrong?

Will a restore from backup fix names?

Yep. A restore from a HG config backup should do the trick. The built in updater is notorious for doing this. It was sorted out in v34 but looks like its reappeared in v35.

FWIW, sometimes strange things can happen on updates that require restoring settings to resolve.  This is why it is a VERY good idea to create a backup regularly as well as prior any update.

I've been a phone tech for over 24 years.

I backup everything. I have files from the early 90's because of this.

Agreed. Regular scheduled backups are a must. LoL.
