SC1200 with answering machine

Hi,

has anybody ever run across a way that allows the SC1200 to work when an answering machine (or voice mail - I have access to either) is also hooked up?  In other words, where you can enter your SC1200 code after the answering machine (or voice mail) picks up (as described on page 37 of the SC1200 manual).  I would like to find a way that a casual caller could leave a message (or voice mail) but when the caller is me, I could access the SC1200 commands.
