It seems I have HomeGenie turning on lights at the correct times.  I cannot get it to turn off lights.  The off command just turns the lights on again.  I must be programing it wrong.  Any ideas?

Without know exactly how you've created your scheduler I'm affraid we'd all be guessing. Post a screen shot or give us some Idea how it is setup.

my suggestion is to go back and check.

I can say with confidence that it is almost impossible for a module to turn on with the off command.

Check and make sure your module is selected and the script is set to turn off.

Generally speaking, I make two schedules. one to turn on the module, one to turn off the module. It helps me later with troubleshooting if necessary. I am certain someone will say it is not necessary to have two schedules. They are right. It isn't. But it is the way I do it.

Is this just a simple logic or do you need the scheduler for something else.

At 8.30 turn Off E4
At 12.45 turn On E4

If that’s the case just use a simple Wizard Script to perform your automation. You could split the logic into two separate scripts if you choose. Keep things as simple as possible as far as HG is concerned.

It is simple.  I have one script turning E4 on at 5:22pm and another turning E4 off at 8:30pm.

Should I ask this. Do you have a second X10 controller on your power line.

What about the module. You have to go to the module tab and select E4.

Can you show that page please. The module tab?

Ok in your logic for E4 Off send the Off command twice. I’m trying to determine if it’s a problem with Scheduler or some form of signal collision.

So I now have the script in twice

Also check the Elvel memory in Lighting. I had mine on and the lights would turn on and go right off. No clue why. But it did happen.

Did sending the Off command twice work for you. Did the light stay off.

Post the contents of the Homegenie log.

In the meantime select a different device and apply the same script logic to it. Say E5 or whatever other active device address you have available on your system
