lights will not open or close when pc is on

when i open my computer my remote control
do not make any effects on my wall switch
When computer is off no problems
Please help

G. Gendron,

Is your CM15A plugged in close to your PC?
Generally, computer power supplies are
engineered to filter out and kill
electrical noise. Unfortunately, X10 signal
look like electrical noise to these power
supplies. The result is that a large
percent of the signal is lost to this and
other devices leaving a weaker signal for
the X10 devices.

Take a look at this thread for suggestions
on how to remedy the issue. It sounds like
you may need a filter on your computer. I
run about six of them in my home.

I too would say a X10 Type filter on the
power input line of the computer. My APC
BX1000 UPS absorbed at least 50 % or more of
my X10 Line Signals. I added an X10 type
filter and it cured the problem. Some
generic filters may even make things worse
so get an X10 type.
