Easy fix - got the same problem when I re-
loaded AHP to my XP Pro laptop. The CM15A
driver has been MS certified, so it should
normally ( and I say normally) be
recognized by the MS OS and the proper
driver installed automatically.
Try the following:

1- Unplug your USB cable
2- Unplug CM15A from power outlet
3- Remove one battery then wait for a
little while
4- Plug CM15A back into outlet
5- Put batteries back
6- Plug back USB cable

CM15A should now be recognized and proper
driver installed.

Hope it helps!

WaHoo!  Love the internet.  I was never able to get my CM15A to work since I upgraded to Windows XP on this baby server I have.  I went back to the CM11A, but after reading this little trick it has been healed.  The CM11A can go back in the draw Thanks!  And thanks to Jeff Volp for sending me the link to this great site.  I have a XTB-IIR on order from him and I'm hoping to shortly have my X10 black holes solved.  Fingers crossed.  I've been using X10 since the early 80's, but this house I now have has been X10 hell.  Need a x10 exorcism.

This proceedure is not working for me on XP.  Windows recognizes a USB device plugged in but says it can't find a driver for it.

I am using active home pro  3.204 which I downloaded and installed directly.  I just have a feeling that no driver has been installed.

Any help?

Efrain Morales has a post on another tread about usb ghost drivers.  check this link scroll down to part E and see if the procedure may be what you have.

The CM15A needs to be plugged into a USB port for Windows to recognize it.  Shut the PC down, plug the CM15A into a USB port and reboot the PC. When Windows loads, go into the Control Panel and click on the System icon. When it opens, click on the Hardware tab. Click on Device Manager. When it opens, go to the bottom and look for USB Devices. At the bottom you should see "X10 USB Active Home (ACPI Compliant). That's the CM15A.
