whole house noise block
« on: August 19, 2005, 04:52:49 PM »

Sounds like spurious signals are common.  My
activity log from AHP and HomeDomination
both show ons and offs from devices far
removed from my coding scheme.  I have two
ten amp and two five amp filters on much of
my equipment and had the errant signals
before and after installing.  I am
considering strongly a whole house filter.
There are three that I know of.
the PZZ01, a Leviton 6284 which looks like
one and the same. And a 4851X (Leviton) that
looks a little more compact and perhaps
easier to install.  It also costs about 20
to 30 dollars more.  Anyone out there had
much experience with either of these devices?
I live in a townhouse complex and there is a
lot of cross talk.  I can see three networks
from my wireless router!  Oh, yeah, I use
full encryption!
