MyHouse Online

Note the new "MyHouse Online" addition to
the forum. The plug-in is now available,
but I'm surprised X-10 didn't do an
announcement here. I bought it ($50) but
haven't downloaded it yet since my AHP
seems to be working so far (fingers
crossed). Has anyone tried it?

A few of the forum members were beta testers
for MyHouse Online, maybe they'll have
comments. Are there any questions I can
answer for you?

Thank you x-10, but was just trying to gain
a little insight from others before the
installation. Intend to download and
install this weekend. So far, very pleased
with 15a except for a couple of glitches
every once in a while. Using i-Witness,
Macro plug-ins with 7 cameras and about 40
modules.

Downloaded and installed My house online
today, it come with no setup instructions
and so far I have been unable to get it to
work between two computers side by side much
less across town.  And there is no trouble
shooting or theory of operation…don’t know
if I missed something in setup, or it
requires a server at their end that is not
yet working, or crashed due to excess
traffic.  I emailed logs of both systems
attempts to log on with no success and no
error messages to say why they can’t log
on.  Will see how long it takes to get help.

X-10:
The responses here and in the MyHouse
Online forum don't sound too encouraging. I
know it's early, but any thoughts?

Bill H,

I was one of the beta testers. I was never
able to get it to work on my computer
without it crashing.  It did not seem to
affect the operation of AHP as long as I
did not try to use “My House”. If it were
me I would down load it and install it. If
it doesn’t work for you simply do not use
it. Others on the beta team did have
acceptable results with it.

Keith Clancy: The setup should be very
simple: create a user, run the remote in your
browser, enter the system ID, login ID
(username), and password, and that's it. Can
you send the details of the problem you're
having to ahpsupport@x10.com?

We're working on the problem reported by
other users in the MyHouse forums, and any
additional detail is helpful. I hope to have
a resolution for the connection issue very soon.

This problem should now be resolved. It
wasn't a problem in the MyHouse or ActiveHome
Pro code, but a problem with data on the
server. If you try to connect now, it should
work almost immediately.
