AHP & Big Red (PanicButton KR15A)
« on: January 01, 2006, 04:49:24 PM »

I have a hand full of big red panc buttons.
The seem to make the tranciever module turn
on and off but i see nothing in the AH
Activity monitor. AHP doesen't see any of
the signal but the light on A1 tuns off and
on. Has anyone successfully used these with
AHP to trigger macros?

thanks

boomstick,

The Big Red Buttons use the RF security
protocol, so AHP will not see those
commands. The base will use a plc command to
trigger the unit #1 of what ever HC you have
the base set at. These units act just like a
DX7000 security console.

The Big Red actually sends an X10 On command
when first pressed, and then sends the panic
alert after the button has been pressed for a
few seconds.

But is it not an X10 "ON" security rf
command? The base then sends a plc unit
1 "ON" on the HC set?
