X10 Pro: When is the Next Release for AHP?
« on: April 08, 2005, 04:07:20 PM »

X10 Pro:   I was led to believe that you had
indicated via a forum correspondence a
release due yesterday Thurs 4/7/05 but I
haven’t seen any announcements.  Is there a
scheduled date for AHP, SM plug in, iWitness
plug in?

I was aiming for a release yesterday, but we
weren't quite ready. I don't like to do
releases on Fridays, so the new goal is
Monday -- that's not set in stone, though.
The update will include changes for AHP,
Smart Macros, and iWitness.

X10 Pro - were you able to determine the
reason for RF range drop related to the
iWitness plugIn? Is this fixed in the next
release as well? I should also mention that
the plug in (or AHP for that matter) doesn't
have to be started on the computer to create
the issue. I had the same low range with AHP
and/or iWitness components running as well as
with them off.
Thanks!

Julian:  You reference to range drop appears
different then what others have reported.
You appear to be saying that you have a
permanent range drop?

Tony, I notice a significant RF range drop
whenever the CM15A is connected to the USB
port on the computer. AHP or iWitness don't
have to be running necessarily, I have the
same range with both of them running or off.
The RF range does come back very strong as
soon as I unplug the USB cable from the
computer. I should also mention that before
the iWitness plugin the range was not as low
when the interface was connected to the
computer.

Julian:  I am experiencing pretty much the
same thing.  But my range is better even
when USB connected if AHP isn’t running but
not as good as no USB.  However if you use
iWitness how do you deal with the USB?
