Where's the edit button??? ;)
The plugin (ahp_plugin.xml) Sept 29 04
which is installed from the link is a mere
15bytes. I think something is missing.

Burdy, if you look in your Active Home Pro
folder, do you have that plugin and what
size and date is it?

The ahp_plugin.xml file on my machine is
only 192 bytes, modified date shows
10/29/04, created date shows Nov 12 (the
date I installed but had not yet
successfully registered the plug-in.
Actually I can't find much else in the
active home pro directory that looks new
since the plugin was installed; the install
log file hasn't changed. The changed files
must be in the \Program Files\Common
Files\X10\Common directory.

I went back and install the two links and
nothing changed.  It didn't ask for a
registration number.  Still no Smart Macros.

"I got the same email with 2 links and 2
registration numbers. I've installed but
when I try to  register, it hangs trying to
contact X10."

Ditto here, also.

It says "Contacting X10" but never really
does. I monitored my sent / recieved
activity.

I received the Michael Cole email as well.
I don't recall there being links.
Unfortunately I did not save the email.  I
guess I was expecting more email to come.
I'm sure that X10 make good on what we were
told.

There was a mistake in the e-mails we sent
out on Friday, so that they didn't contain
the Smart Macro Plug-in link. We'll correct
that and you should receive new e-mails soon.

I feel that any e-mail from any company that
contains a "registration code" or any other
kind of pass-phrase that identifies you
uniquely should be saved, printed in
duplicate, and basically locked in a vault
offsite.   It's your only evidence and proof.

Will you, also, be addressing the problem
that is keeping AHP from "Contacting X10"
when you try to register the plugins?

Ken, I normally do file email that requires
registration or results in a registration or
other transaction..  I'm guess I'm slipping
in my old age.  Thanks.

I just received my e-mail and installed Smart
Macros.  I only had to enter the registration
number once for the plug-in.
