Delay not working with Macro
« on: November 18, 2005, 11:05:55 AM »

So I am just getting into X10. Running AHP
and Smart macro. Here is my dilema. I have a
motion sensor mounted near the entry of my
kitchen (code P1) and a rocket in my in my
over the stove light (code A2). My trigger is
P1 Motion Sensor when activated turns on the
rocket A2 then a delay for 5 minutes and then
A2 turns off. I have adjusted the delay up
and down and it doesn't seem to matter the
delay time as the light shuts off after 1 min
approx.

I am trying to understand what I have
misconfigured.

Suggestions???

Forgot to add, my condition is that the time
is between 11 PM and 6 AM in order for the
macro to run properly and the macro runs
however the delay is like I said only 1 min
regardless of the set delay time between on
command is sent and off command is sent

Only thing I can come up with is the default
one minute timer in the motion sensor, which
will send a "P1 Off".  If you have no "P1
Off" macro, then this will not affect
anything.  You could check the activity log
to see if it is related to the rocket turning
off.

Sounds like WinS has it.... the only thing I
could think of is the default P1 OFF from the
motion detector as WinS mentioned.  Don't
forget the default P2 (on/off is also being
generated) just in case you have something
there too.
I have a similar set up with my bath lights
after 11pm and before 5am.  If it is between
that time and someone walks into the motion
sensor range the lights turn on,dims, sets
flags and turns off from the default timer in
the Motion Detector that I have reset to 8
min.  That works well for me.  The delay in
the macro should work well too.
Let us know what you find out...
