V3.174 locking up
« on: December 17, 2004, 11:22:58 AM »

I upgraded to 3.174. When starting up AHP,
it would lock up on the splash screen. If I
could get it to start, it would produce
a “Run DLL as an app” or a run32.dll error.

The solution from the telephone support
staff was to load 3.168, which runs fine,
but has all the problems that 3.168 had.

Is there any way I can get version 3.173??

This is a real hassle to be dealing with
this a week before Christmas – the main
reason I use AHP.

Hi X10 guys,

1) Since version 3.174, I have some
RUN32.dll errors using AHP software. Each
time it occurs, I have to redownload the
upgrade via the URL
(http://software.x10.com/pub/applications/ac
tivehome/ahp_updt.exe) to make it work
again.

2) I'm not able to clear the hardware flag
1.  I have make simple macro to clear it
without success, it doesn't come the clear
value.

Thank you for your support !

I'm having the same problem. When I first
upgraded to ver 3.174 it ran ok. Now after
the computer has been turned off and I try
to start AHP I get the rundll.exe error.
After running the ahp_updt.exe AHP starts
running again.

First off, anyone who would like to
temporarily revert to 3.173, email
ahpsupport and we'll forward you a link.

In terms of figuring out what bug is
causing this:
1) Verify that ahp.dll and x10net.dll are
version 3.174

2) AHP should be running under the link
activhm.exe (unless you've dragged an old
rundll32 link to the desktop are starting
AHP from there) and the driver should be
running under the process x10nets.exe (or
rundll32.exe on Windows 98/ME systems)  Are
you all running XP? W2K? Windows 98?

3) John, what does auto-restart refer to
in 'it boots  normal and than auto restarts
when I plug it back..'

4) All, what happens if you start AHP
without the CM15A plugged in and then plug
in the hardware after a minute?

Yes, I want the downgrade.  I want 3.173.  I
have looked on your sight, and dont see
a "contact us" button.  Further, I would
email you but "to whom" @ahpsupport.com.

I await your reply.
