Wrong Module Turns Off
« on: February 08, 2005, 10:26:23 PM »

Has anyone had a problem where you send a
command via RF and the command is acted on
by the correct module plus the last module
to receive a command? For example, I send
A1 ON then A2 OFF.  Both A1 and A2 go off!
I've had the problem with ON and OFF
commands and with different X10 branded
light and appliance modules. I only have
the problem with the CM15a transceiver, not
the old RR501.

Have not had that propblem with my Cm15A. I
would eliminate all transceivers but the 15A,
change house codes to other than A, I use B,C
and D. Set monitored house code to the code
containing the "most" or most critical
modules.  I would be interested in your test
results.

I agree with steve try another house code!
Also what are you using to generate the rf
signal? I know motion sensors will generate
the next code up for dusk/dawn but I doubt
that is what is causeing it.If you don't
need the RR501 in your setup remove it. If
you need it and your running ver 3.179 make
sure you have it configered as a 2 way
transciever in AHP. Then go to hardware
configuration and make sure that the house
code that the RR501 is on is not checked.
You may have to set the transceiver setting
to specific but the auto setting should pick
it up and change it for you.
