Delay and snapshot problem
« on: May 06, 2005, 10:14:35 AM »

I have a macro that is timer triggered. The
macro makes the camera active, takes a
snapshot, delays 5 seconds then takes
another snapshot and turns the camera off.
The problem is 2 fold - #1 - the delay
doesn't appear to have any effect - both
snapshots are taken one after the other.
#2 - intermittantly one of the snapshots
will be skipped - not all of the time but
it does happen.

Any ideas? or is there a bug in how things
are being encoded?

Also - What is the difference between a
snapshot and a still and when should each
be used?

Having similar problem.  Macro with camera
select - delay - snapshot - camera off.
Runs fine if RUN MACRO button clicked.
Does not work from trigger or dummy
module.  Has IS DAYLIGHT condition.

Also DAYLIGHT/NIGHTIME does not seem to be
working...still.

Any assistance with these SM problems is
needed.

Thanks

Donald

Best of my knowledge:

A snapshot is taken separately by some
trigger (click on Snapshot button in video
window while viewing camera video or within
a macro).  A still is automatically taken
based on timer intervals when cameras are
scanning.  The stills function is definable
in Preferences under STIL CAPTURE.  You
activate the stills frequency and AHP
handles it from there.  The pictures go to
different directories for viewing.

Hope it helps.
