Camera configuration
« on: August 16, 2005, 05:21:49 PM »

Sirs or Ma’am

I have a number of Door Window Sensors,
Model DS10A, and two Security Motion
Sensors, Model MS10A.  I understand that
these units will add together for a maximum
of 16 for the Powerhouse Security System.
My first question is the Occupancy Sensor,
Model RMS18, will also count towards a total
of 16 units, or can I add them even if they
push the aforesaid limit above 16?

Next, I have two cameras mounted on your pan
and tilt units and two that are fixed
indirection.  I also have the software from
you to record camera views on my computer.

First, I would like to be able to view the
camera views simultaneously on my computer
and also a small monitor in another room.
Is this technically possible?

Second, I have two Pan ‘n Tilt Remote
Control Units, Model CR14A.  Can I set the
system up to control it from either unit?
What I want to do is set up one fixed and
one pan/tilt camera in the front of the
house and one fixed and one pan/tilt in the
back of the house.  I know the remote will
not pan/tilt the fixed cameras, but can I at
least select individual cameras using the
remote?

Thank You!!!

Fred

Hi Fred,

Yes, you move the Pan & Tilt camera from
anywhere with the Pan & Tilt remote.  That
remote has four camera buttons on it.  C1,
C2, C3, C4.   Just press the camera button
you wish to move before pressing the
arrows.  You can have any number of remotes
at any number of TVs and control them all
from any remote.  I have receivers and
remotes at 5 different TVs in various rooms
and I can move the cameras from any
location.

Another feature I use is the "sweep" which
you program 4 different spots and the
camera will sweep continuously through all
4 points.  Then you just select that camera
and watch the area while it sweeps.

To see multiple views on your computer you
need MultiView and if you want to access
remotely through the 'net you will also
need WebView.

If you have ActiveHome Pro you might want
to look into iWitness as well.
