Multiple Motion to One Camera
« on: July 19, 2004, 04:57:56 PM »

I have 4 cameras in different locations.

One camera scans the whole back yard.
The back yard has two entry points.  I
would like the camera to come on
whenever  motion is detected at either
location.

Is it possible to set 2 motion detectors so
that if motion is detected at either
location... a single camera will come on?

Is this as easy as setting both to the
same house/number code?

Thanks

My thought is that it should work if you set
2 motion sensors to the same house/unit code
as the camera. I am not sure what would
happen if motion was detected by both motion
sensors at the same time.

Let us know what happens.

Thanks

It does seem like it would work as the
sensors will send an "on" signal to the
camera when there is motion and an "off"
signal, after the preset time, when there
is no motion. ( I believe that's how they
work).  Multiple "on" signals shouldn't
affect anything... kinda like pressing the
on button on your remote multiple times.

I'll test it out and let you know.

Yep, works great.  Just set both sensors
to the same House/unit code as the
camera.  Kinda like extending the range
of on sensor.
