Arming the PowerHouse system -what good are the remotes?
« on: July 25, 2005, 10:05:59 AM »

I've got a 12 zone PowerHouse system
installed at my place including some motion
sensors, lotsa door and window sensors and
I've got an issue regarding arming the system.
It seems when I walk through the room it
trips the motion sensors which in turn causes
a light to come on the PowerHouse head unit
and forces me to hit Arm on the remote then
bypass on the head unit, THEN arm again on
the remote to arm the system without having
that zone active.
It's not a huge deal since I don't want the
motion sensors active when I'm home anyway,
but I can't use the remote to arm the system
when I'm leaving either because of this.
Does anyone have advise on how to work around
this? I know the sensors are tripped but I
just want to arm the alarm without them. Many
times when leaving the house (since I have
pets) I don't want the motion sensors tripped
anyway..
Help?

you need to Arm your system isuing your Home
Automation Remote Control (SH624)  and used
the "arm Home"  button this will not account
for the Infrarred sensors and will only
monitor the D/W sensors
