One outlet works with only certain housecode
« on: January 05, 2006, 10:51:33 PM »

hi, I read the FAQ about the wiring in the
house and why a light works in some
outlets, but not others, but my problem is
different.

I have a lamp on house code A-2.  It worked
fine and then all of a sudden it quit.  In
another outlet it works.  Then I changed it
to B-2 and in the outlet that it was NOT
working in and now it works in the "broken"
outlet on B-2, but not A-2.  What could be
the problem of certain house codes not
working in certain outlets?  Thank you for
any help.

Is there anything else on thet circuit? Like
a computer or electronic devices? Could
still be noise or a weak signal. That just
is correct to mess up certain code
combinations.

well, there's nothing else on the outlet
that I know of.  The lamp is the only thing
plugged in.  I don't know why one house
code would work, but not another.
