X-10 vs. LED lights
« on: January 07, 2006, 05:29:49 PM »

All,

Is there any X-10 equipment that works to
control LED lights?  I have three different
Christmas light strands from three different
manufacturers.  All still glow even when my
X-10 modules are off - both Lamp and
Appliance.  I even went so far as to try some
stuff from the web about disabling local
control thinking it might be related, but no
luck.  I've heard other solutions involve
sticking a "real" load on the module as well,
but I'd like to avoid that if possible.  Does
anyone know of a solution?  With LED being
used more and more I suspect this question
will be asked again (if it hasn't already).
Thanks for any help!

An appliance module with the sensing current
disabled not just the mod that cuts the
small jumper on the board. Should stop all
the glowing. Lamp modules probably will not
work correctly. If you cut the sensing
current diode as shown in some web pages.
Let me know so I can add that information to
my database. For LED Type Xmass lights.
