In the State of New York, you have to be licensed to install security & fire systems - a 60 hour course is required.
I suppose the license is required for installing any X10 security systems for customers as well.

Hello;
There is a demo case that includes various types of components listed here:
Plastic Insert - Blue 1
Eagle or Leviton Rubber Lamp Holder 2
XPDI3 Dimmer (or WS12A) 1
XPSS Slave Switch 1
XPS3 Switch (WS13A) 1
PAO11 Receptacle (or SR227) 1
PLM03 Lamp Module 1
PAT01 RF Transceiver (or RR501) 1
PHR03 Handheld 16Channel Remote 1
XPMT1 Mini Timer (or MT12A)
If you can build the demo case then you can build/install just about any component.
If you want the demo case instructions send an email to:
billc@kosherlightingsystems.net and I will forward you a copy of the PDF, it is only 4 pages.
Best regards,
Bill Cook

My first post here...looks like a very nice site BTW
I have ordered my first x10 surveillance 2 camera system, & waiting for delivery.
I have, for a long time, wanted to go into this field, and any training that is available, I would like to see.
Location: N Illinois
Thanks
