Title: New User to AHP
Post by: RobW on January 05, 2006, 08:01:55 PM
Hello.  Not a new user to Active Home, but I
am new to AHP.  I have been using my CM11A
for years.  Decided to upgrade, since I had
a specific macro I needed to run and the old
SW/HW could not cut it.  World of difference
in the macros!  I have a few questions and
will be posting them soon.
Thanks!

Did you back up your .x10 files? They contain
all your modules and settings from Active
Home. You can inport them into AHP and the
program will convert them to .ahx files, but
all your modules and settings are there.

What you said, kind of worked.  The AH file
I had would not open in AHP.  It would crash
AHP as soon as I tried to load it.  So, I
saved a new file with AH and then AHP would
open that version.  Almost everything
carried over. For some reason the socket
rockets and floodlights did not make it over
and had to be remapped.
Cool software though..
Thanks!

Make sure you have the .x10 and .mac files --
the .mac files contain the contents of your
macros and are needed for your file to be
imported.
