Title: Newb Alert- Can I run a macro on startup on my pc?
Post by: bitman on August 15, 2007, 11:15:12 PM
I have a different application of x10 devices. I turn on headphone monitoring stations around a recording studio from the comfort of the control room chair. I am running some old version of active home (the help files refer to win 3.1!) that I downloaded from a link on a eBay listing where I bought the modules. It works great.

I want to fire up all the stations when I power up the PC. I can put activehome in startup and punch A7 on my remote, but I'm real lazy and that's not enough, even though before this x10 installation, I had to visit each station (oh the horror!)

Can AH Pro do this trick? Or can I do it with this creepy old version?

:Thanks in advance

I can't answer for the original ActiveHome, but the ActiveHome Pro version does transmit address P16 via RF at start-up. I use 2 CM15A/AHP setups and they monitor each other to send me an email if the other PC reboots unexpectedly.

I do believe that if you set HouseCode P to be transceived, it will self trigger a macro for P16 ON.

Remember, we are talking about Active Home Pro, not Active Home.  X10 sells Active Home Pro for $49.00 at http://www.x10.com/activehomepro/activehome-pro.html.
