Title: newbie wireless cam problem
Post by: hjker on August 28, 2005, 02:06:55 PM
First timer here.
I have the wireless camera setup and can only
receive a semi-solid horizontal white bar on
my television.  I've changed the (ABCD)
switch just to try eliminating that.

It is on 'D' currently and can see a small
bar that flickers on and off where I can see
movement and sometimes a recognizable portion
of an item.

I do have a 2.4Ghz cordless phone which I
tried shutting down to see if it changes
anything...  It is new, so should I consider
it defective and send it back or am I the
defective one?

If you have a wirless network that also can
make the camreas signals garbage. Besides
the 2.4 Ghz phones. Same goes for some
microwaves or so I have read here. If yo try
the camera in a different [temporarly]
location is it still the same?

Hjker,
You have to play with the reciever and the
transciever.  It took me a while to get 3
cameras to look good.  The fourth has
horizontal line but it is out in the laundry
room so I expect that.

Get some longer Video RCA cables and a
extension cord and move the reciever away
from the TV and other electronic source.

how far a way is the camera from the
receiver, for testing I'd suggest putting
them very close (a few feet), that would
rule out alot of factors.
