My Active Home Pro system has stopped sending email from the macros. So when I activate a keypad or smoke detector it used to activate a macro and then send an email. I have verified I have internet access and it simply just stopped working.
I have verified in the macro window that the remote I am pressing is getting the little green signal indicator and the macro flashes the blue light.
Any help would be appreciated.
Does the email send though just the computer or does it go through the x10 servers that have been turned off. Also I can't connect with my active home remote.

X10WTI went out of business and the servers have been down for a while now. There are many posts on this and work a rounds till the servers come back online.
A search will turn up something that will work for you.

Thanks for your reply. Not really sure what to search for. All I get is posts back 2 years with the servers were up.

The work around is to use a thirdparty software to send the email.
Replace the on alert email send with a windows command.

Over my head, but thank you for the information.

Like I posted there are several methods.
this isn't the simplest
1: Use PC Companion as the third party program
2:in AHP create a macro that fires a windows command.
3:in the windows command type in the path to PC Companion
4:in the Arguments type in the argument to send your mail with options you created in PC Companion

Hi !
Could you provide us a simple script (or batch file) that calls PC Companion sending an email ?
I've tried to use a sendmail program named "Blat" without success ...
I already use pc companion (sbplay command that plays wav file) in batch files called in several macros I've coded.
Thanks. :P

You need to set up PCC with email info see this how too:
http://tuicemen.com/forum/index.php?topic=698.0
if PCC is left running a simple X10 event can trip it this won't work for a security trip but if your security macro sends the x10 trip code it would work.
Another way is add your email info in PCC
Once that is done you can create a user command which will in the end look some thing like>SendMail<
With the user command created and your email info added you can add this to the windows command.
The path to PCC is the command
>SendMail< Is the argument.
to create a user command see:
http://tuicemen.com/forum/index.php?topic=56.msg510#msg510
I'll try to get a detailed how to made up for creating a PCC user command though I think that info may be in the manual.

A tutorial for creating a usercommand is now posted. ;)
once you have a user command adding it to AHP is simple as stated above.
adding it to a batch file is just as easy.
Since everyones path may be different and they're user command be different posting a simply batch file isn't possible.
However PCC does include a batch file creator with the plug-in pack.

Yesterday, I got two emails that were triggered by macros from AHP. I was surprised to get them. Specially there was a five hour time difference. Email was triggered at 10:41AM and time on the email was 5:41AM. Probably the server is somewhere in Hawaii.
I don't know how and why, once in a while I do get the macro triggered emails.
I thought X10 servers were down but still I get them. I wish it was more often like before.
