Title: How to automate closet light?
Post by: stan gale on February 18, 2006, 07:46:51 PM
How do you automate a standard closet light?
I'd like a motion sensor that turns the light
on for 1-2 minutes and shuts it off ubtil
motion is detected again.
What's needed to do this?

You should be able to do it using a motion
sensor (MS13A), a transceiver (RR501 or
TM751), and a socket rocket(LM15A). (or a
lamp module if you'd rather have a lamp in
there)  The motion sensor is wireless and
runs on batteries.  It would pick up the
signal and send it to a transceiver, which
would in turn send the on/off signal to the
socket rocket on the light bulb.  You can
set the off delay time to whatever you want
to.
