Title: How to turn all lights/units off at a specific time (no trigger from module)
Post by: mleger on May 27, 2006, 07:47:50 AM
I have AHP and Smart Macros .. and I would like to ensure that at a specific time at night, a macro (or timed event) occurs to turn off ALL Lights / Units.   The trigger is not from a module, but from a specific time.  Not sure if I'm missing something ... as this seems pretty simple (IF 11:30PM Daily, Turn Off All units).   Any suggestions I'ld appreciate.

Easiest way is from a timed macro. eg. I have a somewhat involed one that dims key lights as 5 minute warning before leaving me in the dark. It then shuts off everything including lights, the coffee pot and closes the garage door. I can push a button for the macro as well as it has timers to run at 1:05am and 9:30am. A macro can be as simple as one "ALL UNITS OFF" command, however.

Simply start with a macro with an "ALL UNITS OFF" in it for the HC you want and add a timer for 11:30pm daily.

Got it.   Thanks for the direction .... I didn't realize I could time a macro .... as I thought the trigger event was the only way.   Works like a charm now.
