Storm's over and my signal's shot...
« on: July 23, 2006, 04:58:08 PM »

It looks like it's time to order a signal meter. Is it the general consciences that the ESM1 is the best value? Anyone have a favorite source for it? SmartHome emailed me a 25% off "We miss you. Please come back code." but their estimated ship date is something like the 8th or so. I lease a whole house surge protector from the power company. (The included equipment insurance is worth the small cost per month over buying my own.) After the storm flickered the power, I seem to be having signal problems on even some outlets of the same phase. I haven't found any signals going across phases, yet. (I hope my plug in coupler didn't die.) The signal seems to be poor going to or from the CM15A. I'm going with the hypothesis that I've developed some serious noise source. Nothing I've unplugged so far has made a difference, however.

Just when everything was working fine...

Gee my miss you code is 15%.
Aotomateoutlet.com may have them. I have used them before for X10 and other brand items.

I'm not able to connect to that site. Will you check and make sure it's correct?

Googled www.automatedoutlet.com. Their price is about the same as SmartHome. Interrestingly they also do free loaners. You pay for it up front and they refund the cost when you return it. (You just pay shipping.)
