Title: XP Pro update WARNING
Post by: christopher on September 09, 2005, 04:11:13 PM
My Active Home Pro was working fine before I
decided to update the drivers through Windows
Update. Windows Update "updated" and Intel
video device as well as an X-10 USB device.
After I updated these my Active Home Pro
stopped working. Here's what I've done to try
to fix this situation (still no solution yet)
- Disassembled my entire wireless video system
- Placed one XC18-A camera on my desk
- Placed one VR-30A (video reciever) on my desk
- Placed one Activehome Pro device on my desktop
- Set all applicable devices to house A unit 7

Pretty simple setup? Yes, but the camera is
not recognized by the software for AH Pro.

In XP Pro - I have removed the Intel device
in the Device Manager and rolled back the
drivers for the X-10 AH Pro device and
rebooted... still no video signal.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

after making sure the intel driver is gone, reboot, reload the drivers, get them from the x10 site http://www.x10.com/support/support_soft1.htm
