This link leads to where the latest is 2.96 and not 3.04
-
The top link works fine, 3.304 is the first thing there.

There is an issue with the download link and the version of AHP your currently running.
How ever this isn't the thread to post about that!

Just a question, in the software download area of X10.com AHP is at v3.304 and all the plugins are at v3.303. I installed the updated AHP and it shows as 3.304 so what is the plugin version??? Do I need to download and install them individually???
Thanks,
DeliBaker

I've read here you should install the plug-ins first, then install AHP.
-
eh?! what kind of logic is that? Intall plugins first than AHP?
I guess... with this x10 software, we got to do the odd way!

Try it and see what happens.

I have AHP, iWatchout, MyHouse Online, OnAlert, and SmartMacros. Started having problems after 1 year of trouble free operation, when I decided to check for an update about 1 week ago. (if it ain't broke don't fix it!)
I read in the forums that a complete uninstall could be performed
http://kbase.x10.com/wiki/ActiveHome_Pro_Reinstallation
Performed this with each attempt
I also read that installing plugins first, AHP last was successful. I have wiped AHP and tried installing each of my plugins as the first install ... AHP is loaded with the plugin and when start occurs I have two registrations to complete, the plugin that was initially installed and AHP.
I'm guessing that the newer versions of plugins were coded to install AHP if it doesn't exist since they can't run without it. Or I'm all wet and missing part of the AHP wipe ... my .AHX file is never wiped!
If anyone has guidance, I'm open for sugestions.

What I always do is back up any .ahx files I created before uninstalling AHP. I also have never used myhome.ahx for anything as the modules in it don't always work with the modules you have. If you install AHP the .ahx files that come with it are all you have. Once you make changes to either file, it's yours so give it a new name.

Dan,
I have a backup of my AHX file in 'my docs'. But when I follow the instructions for a reinstall of AHP http://kbase.x10.com/wiki/ActiveHome_Pro_Reinstallation
and reinstall a single plugin, AHP starts with 'my' AHX file. Depending on the plugin that I start the install with ... some modules show up correcly others don't.
I'll try a reinstall without MyHouse, but I still can't get the "install plugins first" option to word and I can't get a clean install with the default AHX.
If you have any other guidance it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
kermit

Version 3.305 (the latest build) doesn't require plug-ins installed first in most cases!
The Myhome.AHX file is the default AHX file
A uninstall isn't needed to update AHP.
AHP will always start with the last AHX file that was loaded even after a update!
