IPS Question
« on: November 03, 2010, 08:10:46 PM »

I just received this product and hooked it up to my AHP PC running AHP ver 3.293. I tried using CR12A palmpad, KR22A and KC674 without and response. Then I downloaded the demo and it shows all the comands but nothing happens. To me it seems like the unit is not communicating with AHP. Any ideas as to  what is missing?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. my OS is windows XP sp3

You are correct. It is not communicating with AHP.

The W800RF32 is not compatible with AHP.

The W800RF32 outputs raw serial data of the X10 RF signals it received.
AHP has no way to use the serial date coming in to your computers serial port.

If you want to receive Extended X10 RF codes and translate them to a standard X10 address. The WGL V572RF32 should do the trick.

Since the W800RF32A module 310MHZ is made by WLG Designs, I'm surprised they have not put that info ( itwill not work with AHP) on their site. It's probably made in the Active Home era.

I don't believe the CM11A with Active Home supported it either.
Some other automation software does.
Google shows W800RF32 support with:
heyu
HomeSeer with a third party plug in
Indigo
XTension
