In theory there is no limit to the number of concurrent macros that can be run as well as no way to stop a running macro short of purging all macros from AHP.

.You can stop running macros by using the 'Purge Delayed Macro Events' command from the Tools menu in ActiveHome.
There is a limit of 8 pending macros running at once.
