Title: Assigning House Codes

I have been using AHP and x10 for two years, but am just now starting to expand usage to include sensors.   Before I do a lot of work, I want to organize my house and unit codes.

Does anyone have a good suggestion for assigning codes for easy maintenance and expansion?
