Title: Using Multiple USB Video Capture Adapters ?

I curently have a single camera setup that is hard wired using a USB Video Capture Adapter to a PC, however i would now like to add additional cameras and so i was wondering is it just a case of purchasing additonal USB Video Capture Adapters and plugging them into the PC and into the additional camera.  Assuming that this is the case am I limited by the number of USB ports on the PC or is there a limitation of the X10 software/hardware ?
