Title: WTD: Wired Light Switch That Can Trigger Macros
Post by: sam molone on December 26, 2006, 03:55:37 PM
Is there such a light switch that I can hard wire in and when you turn the light switch on it will send a X10 code to do a macro which then turns on a group of lights and when you switch it off it will do another macro to turn of the group of lights?

ICON On/Off Switch (http://www.smarthome.com/2876sb.html) will send an X10 ON & OFF commands during manual operation. This can trigger a macro or control other switches on the same address. (There is also a dimmer version available.)

Use one of the occupancy sensors that has the dawn/dusk sensor and mount it so it sees the light but not people or just disable the motion sensor portion.
