Title: Remote Controlled Chime SC546A goes ballistic!

The chime works as expectedly most of the time. But every once in a while, it turns into a shrill alarm. I wouldn't mind so much if I could turn it off. How does it start doing this? How can I correct or control the situation?

Starting up AHP triggered my chime into screech mode. Still don't use it. ;)
