Title: Light switched by Insteon Keypad Linc V2 2486D is Dim at brightest setting
Post by: wormboy on January 13, 2007, 10:03:50 AM
I recently installed an Insteon Keypadlinc V2 Model 2486D.  The switch box didn't have a neutral, so I snaked one from a nearby box.  The neutrals in the nearby box were about four in one cap, so the new one was the fifth.
The light works properly, except that when you ramp the brightness all the way up, when it gets to the top, it flashes bright for a second, but the highest setting is dim compared to the original standard switch.  Could it be that there are too many neutrals together in that nearby box?  Is that possibly the problem?  Or a semi-attached wire somewhere?  I'm stumped.

www.accessha.com
and the smarthome one.

Previous post re HS:

Hope this helps,

The Smarthome site link: http://www.techmall.com/default.asp
You may want to look at the full manual. Max brightness can be set.

wormboy: There's no problem asking for help with other vendor's X10 compatible items. I think what glt was referring to is that you would have a better chance of getting help on those forums. But you never know, some of us here also use Insteon modules too. ;)
