Title: [HELP] GE Zoneline Heatpump BLOCKS X-10 Signal (When Compressor Is Running)...
Post by: doughohl on March 03, 2007, 08:20:56 PM
I have three General Electric Zoneline thru wall heatpumps with 4,5 KW heating elements each. When these units are in the heatpump mode the compressors block the x-10 signals. The circuit size is 40 a at 240v. I have not been able to find an in-line filter to install on these units to keep them from blocking the signals. Any suggestions?

I am not familiar with that unit.  Even though it is a 240V unit, it might still have bypass capacitors sucking the X10 signal to ground. I am not aware of any filters that will handle that much current.  The only suggestions I have are to increase your X10 signal levels by either moving your X10 transmitter near the main distribution panel, or adding a XTB to boost the output of the transmitter.
