Title: Why Can't I Trigger From a WS12A (RSW17)?
Post by: adpinc on May 02, 2007, 04:56:53 PM
I have a question:

I'm a new user to this X10 stuff, and have had good success using the PR511 motion sensors to trigger macros.  But I cannot seem to receive a trigger from a simple WS12A.

I can use the WS12A fine.  The light I trigger can be turned on and off and dim either at the switch or through the AHP software.

I set the WS12A to B13.  In the software, when I turn B13 on and off, it properly triggers macros I trigger from B13.  But when I physically operate the switch, I don't get any trigger.

Does this not work this way?  How do I cause a trigger alert when the WS12A is activated?  There was very little documentation with the switch.

Read: PLC / RF Transmitters, Receivers and Transceivers (http://www.x10community.com/forums/index.php?topic=9899.msg57801#msg57801)  Only Transmitters can trigger macros.

How are your LINKed PR511s working out?

Basically the switch is a one way device and does not send a signal when manually changed. The links provided by TTA should give you more details.
