Title: Radio Shack 2609
Post by: fsmith1 on September 24, 2007, 09:50:55 PM
Does anyone have any info. on the Radio Shack 2609 unit?  Anyone know where I can find a manual?

A search on this board didn't turn anything up.
A search on the internet via google didn't turn up anything.

Thanks
Frank

What is a Radio Shack 2609?

Radio Shack has totally gotten out of the X10 supply business, a regular for a Tandy company.

It appears to be like a 7000 unit??? with an RF received, multizone monitoring and dialer with voice announcement for calling you when it is tripped.

Question is, without a manual, and not knowing how to program, shall I just throw it away?

Have you looked at the X10 DS7000 manual to see it it programs the same?

You may also find the manual on the Radio Shack web site. I have found a few there myself.
In the RS sites search box. Look for the model number.
I have the later 49-1000 and the sensors worked fine with a X10 7000 kit.
